Awwwwww- Miooowwww Monday
- In English and Norwegian

They are small. They are active. They are predators.

De er små. De er aktive. De er rovdyr.

Have you ever seen how much mess they can create?

Har du noen gang sett hvor mye rot de kan skape?

Think about this - about Cats and Birds:
Tenk gjennom dette - om katter og fugler:

We are allmost 5 million people living in Norway. - Vi er nesten 5 millioner mennesker som bor i Norge.

Here we have about 500.000 Cats. - Her har vi omtrent 500.000 katter.

It's said they kill 10 birds a year in average. - De sies at de dreper 10 fugler i gjennomsnitt i året.

That means 5 million Birds. - Det betyr 5 millioner fugler.

Cruel? - Grusomt?

Think about it, if the Cats did not kill all those Birds. - Tenk på det, om kattene ikke drepte alle disse fuglene.

How many Birds would we then have had here? Each Bird couple with 5 small birds each year. - Hvor mange fugler ville vi da ha hatt? Hvert fuglepar med 5 fuglunger hvert år.

2.500.000 Birdmothers x 5= 12.500.000 new birds extra pr year. The first year. After 5 years? Ten years?

2.500.000 fuglemødre x 5= 12.500.000 nye fugler ekstra pr år. Det første året. Etter 5 år? Ti år?

Don't think about it. Just an advice
Ikke tenk på det
. Kun en anbefaling.

Have a nice, problemfree week to come. - Ha en hyggelig, problemfri kommende uke.

Felicia - her first Birth

Felicia is a Cat of the Manx Breed.
In many ways very different from the normal Norwegian domestic Cats.
We have for the last 20 years learned to know these special cats, and they have
since then become our favourite ones.
We have both have had Cats in our families since born. Of different breeds.

Around Midnight Thursday to Friday, we realized Felicia at last would give birth to
her kittens.

Here is the first kitten arriving. BUT - feets first? How will this end?

It was really traumatic. We did observerve her Birth pang around Midnight.

The first one arrived around 2 am. After 2 hours. So beautiful. And you see, a Manx - tailless.

But: Dead when born. To large for it's Mother's first baby. Tragic. Felicia struggled for 2 hours.
And we did our best to help her and her first born. In vain.

The second arived around 4 am. Papa went to sleep.
Number 3 arrived around 13:30 am

and the 4th one around 4 pm the next Day. Here they are all the 4 of them.

Rosa had to look after her sister as well.

There will be upcoming stories about Felicia and her kittens
